Social Media Marketing Infographic
Check out this CMO’s Guide to the Social Media Landscape, by CMO.com and 97th Floor. At a glance, you get a pretty good sense of the marketing potential of some big social media sites. It gives the good, the OK, and the bad in four categories: customer communication, brand exposure, traffic to your site, and SEO. It’s slanted a bit on the business-to-consumer side. For example, social news sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, Yahoo! Buzz, Reddit, or even Delicious work really well for reaching consumers–especially if you’re Apple or National Geographic–but most associations would find the sites very limited in terms of reaching members. That said, I still think the treatment of Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, and YouTube is pretty useful. What do you think?
