Raindrop the Gifted Innovator…
James and I were upstairs in the office.
- Raindrop came up.
- A STRONG peppermint smell followed her.
- What did she do?
Raindrop got creative this afternoon.
- Decided to help freshen up the house.
- Cracked open a bottle of peppermint oil.
- And dumped it on my favorite chair in the family room.
At least that’s her story.
- I use the oil to scare mice out of the house.
- Left some on a table last night.
- Raindrop obviously found it.
She transferred her skills to something new.
- Raindrop knows how to take lids off Gatorade bottles.
- It’s a game.
- We put treats inside - she gets them out.
Only problem…
- Glass is more fragile than plastic.
- Raindrop applied a little pressure to get the twist going.
- The dram-sized bottle broke.
Is Raindrop a bad dog - or brilliant innovator?
- The house reeks of peppermint.
- She feels bad.
- I’m torn - she didn’t mean to hurt anything.
The difference between brilliance and bad dog seems to be a hair apart.
Makes me think of chapter leaders…how do you react when members try something new that doesn’t turn out quite right?
