Great lists! Here are my three:

1. Work in the mail room once a month: know people up and down the org chart. see them as "who's" and not "what's." This engenders relationship which engenders trust which engenders listening which engenders loyalty which engenders risk-taking which engenders innovation which engenders growth.

2. Use the theory of ideal gases to create teams: don't create teams that agree, but create ones that bump up against one another to create better solutions. Enjoy the friction. It's where ideas come from. Study how theatre professionals create plays -- that's your model for teams. Hot conversations with a single vision.

3. Read Biker World: Get outside your industry for ideas. Ask children what they think. Don't pack your industry meetings with industry stars, but with hip-hop artists, cartoonists, scientists, and children.
