Lots of cool saving the world going on in the social media stratosphere!
Check out this awesome site. Jobs for Change is a project of Change.org; their goal is "to spark a nationwide movement toward careers in the common good – including nonprofit, government, and social enterprise jobs. We’re currently building a huge database of social change jobs with our partners and have just hired a team of career advisors who will be blogging every day to provide guidance on finding and developing a career in social change."
Hey! I wonder if there might be synergies between them and Job Angels...? Talk amongst yourselves... :)
And in other news, Light, Camera, Help has launched! The Austin-based film festival judges will evaluate "films and videos with a cause directly related to a non-profit or grass roots organization", proceeds go to the winner. "This festival is the first of its kind in the nation and reflects the spirit of Austin, a city with prominent non-profit, grassroots and activism communities. Non-profits, grassroots organizations and filmmakers will use the festival to spread the word about their cause, develop a community of followers, and expand the film-for-a-cause genre." - Submit Your Entry now - you only have til June 30. Better get crackin'!
And more...
Geeks Unite for a Good Cause - The Society for Geek Advancement (yes, really) partners with Room to Read - get your geek gear here.
And last but not least...
My fave blogging tool/app/awesomeness Zemanta teams up with Social Actions and launches their Blogging for a Cause campaign - go blog about your fave nonprofit and win them $6k, their $3k winnings from NTEN plus a matched donation from Weber Shandwick. Deadline is June 6!

Every little helps. Get to it. :)
