Too Much of Great Idea
I was excited yesterday about my volunteer leader stimulus program.
- My head has been whirling.
- Feedback strong.
- Nerves on edge with the stretch.
Decided to work off the energy that afternoon.
- Zinging quite a bit.
- Did a double workout.
- Ahh relief.
I crawled home.
- Had a relaxing evening.
- Felt sleepy.
- Went to bed.
There I discovered my error of judgment.
- The extra exercise did give my mind relief.
- It also overused quite a few muscles.
- Everything started to hurt.
In fact, I hurt so much I couldn’t sleep.
- Not asleep, my mind perked back up.
- Ideas started whirling again.
- Adrenaline and pain not sleep enhancers.
A few hours later I finally dropped from exhaustion.
Makes me think of chapter leaders…how much of a great idea is too much?
