Not fair!

It started a few days ago.

• I could tell they were near.
• But I didn’t get to investigate.
• Dad kept me busy.

Today I got my chance.

• First I helped Dad mow the yard.
• Then we barbequed dinner together.
• Which meant I got to explore the backyard.

Dad left me alone for a few minutes.

• He took the meat in the house.
• It was all the time I needed.

Not too far from the grill I found them!

• Right against the house.
• A nest of baby bunnies!
• YUM!

Of course, just as I uncovered my prize, Dad stormed out of the house.

• He yelled at me to get away.
• I was so close…
• Instead I’m in trouble.

I knew there was treasure out there!

As Mom always says, makes me think of chapter leaders…do you know what treasures are hidden in your chapter?
