Podcamp Michigan was a Blast!
 Heads up association leaders.
On Saturday, James and I attended Podcamp Michigan.
Podcamps are held all over the world.
- Gatherings of the social networking doers.
- Set up by volunteers.
- Often have sponsors.
Podcamp Michigan was launched by one man.
- He secured a hotel.
- Found fabulous speakers.
- Attracted 65+ attendees.
Plus the event was free to attend.
I loved Podcamp Michigan.
- The content rocked.
- I met very cool people willing to share what they knew.
- Made some new friends.
I’ve got a to do list of 20+ items to work on.
- All relevant to social networking.
- Including contact info of mentors willing to smooth my way.
I learned more relevant information in one day - than I learned at a few mulit-day events I’ve attended in the last few years.
- Makes me wonder about the value of some associations I belong to.
- Especially those I’m more on the fringe of.
Lots of food for thought!
Makes me think of chapter leaders…what do members walk away with after attending your events?
